On behalf of our Athletic Department and the entire Lamar School District community, we are pleased to welcome teams, coaches, families, and fans to the 3A State basketball Tournament, hosted at Lamar High School, February 28th- March 4th.  We are honored to have you join us in our Arena.

 

It is our commitment to provide you with a memorable visit during your time in Johnson County and we hope to exceed your expectations in extending great LHS hospitality. We will have ambassadors available onsite to help you in the arena and assist with any questions.

 

We are grateful for the generosity of our many sponsors and equally appreciative of our volunteers who are helping to make this tournament a success.

 

All information you need to secure hotel accommodations and find nearby restaurants is available in this packet. Please plan your trip to include visits to some of our area's many amenities that include entertainment opportunities and tourist attractions.

BUS PARKING

Bus Parking Instructions: Please drop off Coaches, Players, Cheerleaders, and Managers at the Player Entrance. There will be a sign for this area.

ARRIVING AT WARRIOR ARENA

Upon your arrival, a host will meet you and show you to your locker room. Team hosts will be responsible for assisting you throughout your time at Warrior Arena. Lamar School District is not liable for lost or stolen belongings. If valuable items are to be left in the locker rooms, we encourage locking locker rooms or taking valuable items with you. We ask that you do not arrive earlier than an hour before the game and leave the locker room as soon as you are able, in order to allow sufficient time for cleaning.

 

TICKET INFORMATION

Tickets can be purchased by following the link:

  • This event is a mobile entry event – tickets must be presented on a smartphone for entry.
  • Printed tickets will not be accepted.
  • Admission should be charged for ages 5 and up.
  • AAA passes will be accepted unless the venue has reached capacity in actual attendance or pre-sold tickets.
  • Only the current year AAA passes and lifetime AAA passes will be accepted.
  • No conference/district passes will be accepted.
  • The participating schools should reach out to the hoist school with administrators who will be supervising students, so they can use their AAA pass to be admitted.
  • Computers will be available at the door. 

 

SEATING

Spectator Seating: Home fans will sit on the west side. Visiting fans will sit on the east side. These sides will be clearly marked for your convenience. No spectators will be allowed on the floor of Warrior Arena, at any time.

Student Section Seating: Student sections will be reserved and clearly marked. School supervisors and administrators are asked to be in immediate proximity to their student sections.

**** ALL SIDES WILL BE CLEARLY MARKED.

 

MEDIA

The working media will have a designated table located on the upper level on the east side of Warrior Arena. This area will be available to all credentialed sports media representatives. WIFI and a dedicated internet will be available. If we have media overflow, we will also use the West side upper level.

 

FILMING OR VIDEOTAPING WARNING


Live Streaming/Broadcasting without permission from the AAA is prohibited. Filming or videotaping for personal use is acceptable as long as all facility rules are followed. Only credentialed media or approved broadcasting groups will be allowed on the floor or in filming areas. Schools can only film games in which they are participating.

 

PROGRAMS

Tournament programs will be available.  The location will be in the lobby

 

 

SPORTSMANSHIP - SPECTATORS

1. Engage in positive encouragement and support of their team without being rude, negative or derogatory to opponents.
2. Demonstrate respect and appreciation for game officials and the difficulty of the jobs they perform for our schools.
3. Shall not wear full-face paint or mask. Small logos or insignias are allowed.
4. Shall not wear derogatory or suggestive slogans on apparel.
5. Stay off the playing area.
6. Shall not participate in negative, demeaning, or obscene yells.
7. Show respect for public property and equipment.
8. Must wear shirts. No bare chests are permitted.
9. Shall not throw any objects on the playing area.

 

SPORTSMANSHIP - INDOOR VENUES

1. Bands, school-controlled sound systems, and school-controlled noisemakers shall be restricted to pregame, between quarters or sets, halftime, postgame, and timeouts.
2. The use of artificial noisemakers is not allowed.
3. No handheld signs, balloons, poms, towels, megaphones, etc. are allowed.
4. Poms properly used by school spirit squads are allowed.

 

MISCELLANEOUS

Concession Stand: The concession stand is located on the upper level. No outside food or drinks may be brought into Warrior Arena.

Souvenir Program books will be available.

Souvenir Apparel will be provided and on sale by the AAA vendor.
