...Wintry Precipitation Possible Today... Cold air will continue moving into Arkansas today. Temperatures will continue to fall, with much of the state falling into the 30s, and remaining in the 30s through the day. Rain will mix with sleet and snow in central and southern Arkansas, likely changing over several times before ending by late this evening. Any precipitation that falls in northern Arkansas should fall as snow. Some minor sleet and snowfall accumulations are possible on grassy areas and elevated surfaces. However, warm ground temperatures should limit accumulations. Temperatures late tonight into Wednesday morning will drop into the 20s across the entire area. Some patchy ice could develop on wet road surfaces, especially on bridges and overpasses, which could cause localized travel impacts.
